ReplyDeletenot cool. to many animation schools out there already. to many animators on the market (without jobs). all this equals lower salaries. awesome. in this case more is less. if animators had half a brain they would see the writing on the wall.
ReplyDeletewith CG animation the boundaries will always be pushed, don't blame the schools for trying to teach the art. There will always be people moving on with their career or retiring, who will replace them then? Animators that can't find jobs? yeah right that means the art suffers further get real buddy.
ReplyDeleteI feel that more school offer better competition and better instruction from a variety of sources. Not everyone will become an animator just by going to a particular school, it still takes a ton of hard work and dedication and I feel each school is different from the other with different styles of teaching. Market will always be flooded and I don't think a school will change that it will only allow for better access. We are already in a competitive industry so why shouldn't schools have the right to compete either. I think AnimSchool and the others are a great resource and opportunity for aspiring animators. I wish I had more access when I was in school. Happy Animating!
